Florida man attacks girlfriend with an unlikely weapon his dinner, cops say

MIAMI _ A St. Petersburg man got angry with his live-in girlfriend and lashed out.

Juwan Brown ended up getting arrested on domestic battery charges.

This is, unfortunately, not a unique occurrence.

But his weapon of choice was.

The suspect used a piece of chicken, cops say.

The 23-year-old was taken into custody Wednesday night after the dispute at the couple's home.

According to a police report from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the two were verbally arguing and then Brown "intentionally stepped on her left foot."

A short time later, the 6-foot-2 suspect threw the piece of poultry at the victim, striking her in the left side of her face, and her glasses. The Smoking Gun was the first to report the story.

So how was the bird used in the alleged attack cooked?

"(We) do not have information on the way the piece of chicken was prepared," Cpl. Dan DiFrancesco, spokesman for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, told the Miami Herald.

Brown is free on a $5,000 bond and was ordered by a judge to have no contact with the victim.
