Moments before his execution, convicted murderer Glen Edward Rogers used his final words to praise Donald Trump.
Rogers, nicknamed the "Casanova Killer" for his charm and appearance, was convicted in the 1995 murder of 34-year-old Tina Marie Cribbs and linked to at least four other killings across multiple states, according to USA Today.
He was sentenced to death in Florida after a violent spree that claimed the lives of women in California, Mississippi, and Louisiana, many of whom were single mothers with similar physical characteristics. Rogers also falsely claimed to have killed Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.
On Thursday evening, Rogers was executed by lethal injection at Florida State Prison in Raiford. He was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m., making him the 16th inmate executed in the U.S. in 2025 and the fifth in Florida.
His unexpected tribute to Trump during his final statement confused witnesses, including family members of victims present at the execution. He also addressed his family and the victims' families, saying he hoped they would eventually find closure.
"President Trump, keep making America great. I'm ready to go," Rogers said.
