If you’re an SEC wide receiver, you’d better be polishing up on your releases before you face the Florida Gators.
That’s because you’ll probably be lining up across from Kaiir Elam at some point, and when he’s in press coverage, there’s a strong chance the ball won’t be finding its way into your hands.
Elam has played the most press coverage snaps of any cornerback in the conference, and he’s yet to give up a completion on any of those plays, per Pro Football Focus.
He came into the 2021 college football season as one of the top corner prospects in the 2022 NFL draft class, and Elam is still improving his stock with his performance so far this year.
