What’s Going To Happen
Oh Florida Atlantic.
Just when it seemed like it was going to do something special and keep the big run of winning going, it dropped a weeknight home game to Marshall, and now it has to go on the road for a run of three of the next four games.
Old Dominion has lost six straight and has yet to beat an FBS team, but it’s decent against the run and it’s strong at taking the ball away.
But the Monarchs have the worst offense in college football, averaging just 243 yards per game.
Florida Atlantic was doing a nice job before the Marshall game rolling right along. The defense has been great on third downs, the scoring is there, and the offense just doesn’t give the ball away. However, the offensive line continues to have a big problem keeping defenses out of the backfield.
ODU, though, doesn’t have the pass rush to take advantage of the problems.
The Owls will bounce back from last week’s clunker with a good passing game and more running than the team has done in a while. There will be a nice balance throughout.
