At some point, Florida Atlantic is going to figure this out.
There’s more than enough talent to go from 0-2 to 10-2 with the manageable schedule ahead, but it has to prove it against a Ball State team that’s been fine so far. It battled well with Indiana to kick things off, and then rolled by Fordham.
At home, this is when the Cardinals have to turn a corner. If they don’t with three straight road games starting with next week’s date at NC State, there’s a problem.
The Cardinal passing game has been fantastic so far with Drew Plitt bombing away with one of the most efficient passing games among the MAC teams. On the flip side, the FAU passing attack hasn’t worked so far at all, dinking and dunking for less than nine yards per throw.
Get ready for one of the best games in the Mike Neu era at Ball State, as the defensive front will live behind the FAU line and stuff everything early on.
FAU will be a -3 in turnover margin ruining chance after chance to take over the game. The Ball State pressure in the backfield will take over late.
