Newcastle United defender Florian Lejeune has vowed to bounce back after suffering a knee injury against Crystal Palace.
The Frenchman has suffered a second major injury this term after missing a large chunk of the campaign with a knee problem in pre-season.
But after being carried off against the Eagles, Lejeune has opened up on his ordeal.
He posted a message on Instagram that read: "After medical examination, the injury I suffered during the last game is an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
"It's the same problem I had few months back but on the other knee.
"I'll have surgery and as I did before, I will make my best to come back stronger.
"Thank you all for your support."
A club statement this morning read: "Florian has been ruled out for the remainder of the current season and further updates on his recovery will be provided in due course."
