Florian Kamberi seeks permanent Rangers deal in case of Hibs exit as Hull City interest emerges

Flo Kamberi has told Rangers he wants a permanent deal if they are to bring him back to Ibrox.

The Swiss star was on loan with the Light Blues at the end of last season but has now returned to pre-season with Hibs.

Rangers held talks with their Easter Road counterparts this week about a possible loan deal, which could see Greg Docherty go the other way again.

Hibs were amenable to that but Kamberi has told both clubs that if he is to leave he wants it to be on a permanent basis.

It now remains to be seen if Rangers are prepared to commit to that.

Record Sport previously revealed they could land him for an initial fee of around £100,000, which is what Hibs paid Grasshoppers back in 2018, plus future add ons.

The soon-to-be Albanian international is going into the final year of his contract and sees no benefit in going out on loan again.

Kamberi has strong interest from clubs back in Switzerland as well as Hull City and Polish side Lech Poznan and knows there is no shortage of options.

He would be keen to return to Rangers full-time and if he did go back he would be eligible for their outstanding Europa League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

Kamberi also knows he is unlikely to feature much at Hibs under Jack Ross and a parting of the ways looks to be the best option for both parties.
