Florian Kamberi roasted as pundits tear into Aberdeen star for wearing gloves in April sunshine

Florian Kamberi's choice of accessory likely won't feature too much in Stephen Glass ' post-match thoughts.

But the Aberdeen star's decision to don thermal gloves while the rest of Scotland basks in the sunshine raised a few chuckles - and eyebrows.

Temperatures have surged welcomely across the country this weekend but the Swiss forward clearly wasn't feeling the heat.

He and his team-mates slumped to a dismal Scottish Cup quarter-final defeat to Dundee United on Sunday, going down 3-0 to Micky Mellon's side at Pittodrie.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound, pundits Charlie Adam and Stephen Robinson were impressed neither with his performance nor the gloves.

Adam said: "Do you know what I think summed it up? Kamberi was wearing gloves and it was about 18 degrees.

"I couldn't believe it."

Former Motherwell boss Robinson agreed and, in a wider context, reckons new manager Glass has a tough job on his hands.

He said: "As a manager that drives you absolutely mad. It's a Scottish summer's day!

"He's playing out on that left hand side and he looked disinterested at times.

"Stephen Glass, he's got a job on his hands now.

"I think people will realise how good a job Derek McInnes actually done in a few years.

"They had the budget to finish in third place, they finished in second and third.

"They got to cup finals and still people weren't happy. They wanted something different, they wanted a different style.

"I think it's going to be a real big job for Steven."
