Flo Kamberi believes he’ll get much better service at Hibs this season and is hoping to be back on th goal trail in a way that didn't really happen last season.
The Swiss opened the scoring against Arbroath on Tuesday night after three minutes, latching on to a Scott Allan through ball and finishing well from a tight angle.
It’s the combination that Hibs fans have been desperate to see re-established ever since it was announced that Allan would be returning to Easter Road.
Give the last time they played together before this week saw Hibs score five goals, it’s no wonder Kamberi is feeling optimistic about the season ahead with Allan supplying the ammunition.
“That is the first time I have played with Scotty since that Rangers game when we drew 5-5 [at the end of 2017/18 season],” he recalled. “So there are good football players, not just players who will always play long balls and go for tackles. I think we have very good players around the club so i think this will be an exciting season.
“I was very happy that I saw Scotty had signed fro Hibs and I thought he would have come in January but he didn’t.
“I had a great time playing with him when I was on loan and I think everybody knows that we understand each other and we have a good partnership.
“You saw that with the goal on Tuesday night. He knew exactly my run and I scored the goal so it was fantastic for us to play again with each other. Hopefully we will have many more games like this.”
