Florent Hoti set for Dundee United deal after impressing Micky Mellon in trial clash

Dundee United are set to sign Florent Hoti - who is in line for a Kosovo call-up.

The 19-year-old midfielder is in the verge of penning a two year contract at Tannadice.

Hoti was born in England but has Kosovan parentage and has already been contacted by the Football Federation of Kosovo.

The United new boy looks set to be called up by the Kosovo under-21 team, in the first instance, next month, if all the paperwork can be finalised.

Hoti has been on trial with United in recent weeks and has impressed at various levels.

He also caught the eye of boss Micky Mellon as he scored the winner in a weekend bounce game win over St Johnstone.

Hoti is a free agent after he turned down a new contract and left Rochdale in the summer.

United are still actively in the market for another striker and have several irons in the fire.
