Florence Pugh admits trolling over her age gap with Zach Braff made her 'feel like s**t'

Her relationship’s 21-year age gap drew harsh comments online – and Oscar-nominated actress Florence Pugh admits the negativity made her “feel like s***”.

So much so, she eventually had enough of it, and told her social media followers to mind their own business.

Now the Little Women actress, who is dating 45-year-old Scrubs star Zach Braff, fumes: “How can I be old enough to be an adult and pay taxes, but not old enough to know who I should or shouldn’t have sex with?”

Florence, 24, eventually addressed the “horrid, bullying” comments left on her social media pages.

But the star, who has quarantined in Los Angeles with Zach, spoke to Sue Perkins’ An Hour With podcast about her boyfriend of one year, telling the host: “There’s a reason why I’m not with someone my age – it hasn’t worked.”

The Lady MacBeth actress has, in the past, clapped back at trolls who abused Florence on Instagram over her and Zach's age gap.

In a candid and moving Instagram video, Florence calmly dissected cruel online bullies taking aim at the couple.

She told Elle UK : "I have the right to hang out with and go out with anyone I want to.

"I've always found this part of what people do really bizarre. I'm an actor because I like acting and I don't mind people watching my stuff, but people have no right to educate me on my private life."

Back in April, she and Zach made their romance Instagram official after a year of low-key dating.

Florence snapped her beau having a snooze and cuddling up with his dog.

They were first spotted out and about together in April last year, having worked on shirt film In The Time It Takes To Get There.
