Floral tributes left where Cropwell Butler jogger died after being hit by car

Floral tributes have been placed for a woman who died after being hit by a car. The crash happened along Cropwell Road, close to where it merges into Radcliffe Road, in Cropwell Butler at approximately 8.50am on Sunday, May 15.

Police have said the woman, who has not been named, had been jogging when she was hit by the vehicle. Officers and paramedics were quickly in attendance but the woman died at the scene from her injuries.

Family and friends have now placed bouquets of flowers at the scene of the crash, along with messages for their lost loved one. One message read: RIP Beautiful lady. We did everything we could, I'm so sorry.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are asking witnesses to come forward. PC Christopher Taylor, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “A woman has tragically lost her life following this incident in Cropwell Butler and we have specialist officers supporting her family through this incredibly sad time.

"We're working hard to establish the full circumstances of this incident and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any dash-cam footage that may be helpful to our investigation to please get in touch as soon as possible.” Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 220 of May 15 2022.
