Floral tributes left at the scene of fatal crash in city centre

Tributes have been left at the scene of a fatal crash in the city centre.

On September 18, 34-year-old Daniel Thorpe, of Highbury Vale, was hit by a bus in Upper Parliament Street.

Emergency services were called at around 2pm and the area outside the Royal Concert Hall was cordoned off.

On Friday, Nottinghamshire Police confirmed the crash had been fatal and released the name of the victim.

Tributes have now been left at the scene of the crash.

Flowers, bottles of Jack Daniel's whiskey, sweets and Crunchie chocolate bars have all been left at the scene along with messages from friends and family members.

Police are still urging the public to come forward if they witnessed the crash.

A spokesman said: "Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information or dash camera footage is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 441 of 18 September 2019."
