Flooding in parts of Glasgow caused chaos for drivers on Friday, with vehicles left stranded on rain-filled streets.
Downpours have battered parts of Scotland, leaving some roads submerged and drivers stranded.
Some buildings were also affected as water poured in during the deluge affecting the west of the country.
One BMW was left stuck after trying to get through Aikenhead Road in Glasgow's Southside when its engine was flooded.
A video on Twitter shows the vehicle getting stuck as other vehicles plough through the water.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.20pm on Friday, June 16, 2023, we were made aware of flooding on Aikenhead Road, Glasgow. Officers are providing assistance at the scene.”
Video also shows rain pouring into Burger King in Glasgow's St Enoch centre.
One witness told the Sun : “It was panic stations for the staff as a lot of water was pouring into the light fittings.
“They shut the unit down quickly and a member of staff from the Blue Lagoon was shouting at them to shut down the electrics in case the lights exploded.
“A worker raised a laugh when he grabbed a brolly and tried to add more buckets to catch the deluge.
“I’ve never seen anything like. Nearby McDonalds was dry as a bone and doing a roaring trade with all the punters who came into the centre for shelter.”
The Regent Bar in Shawlands was evacuated following reports of flooding at the premises around 6pm. Customers were also forced to evacuate from Flip Out in Rutherglen.
BSC Glasgow sports club in Knightswood also shared video and photographs of the premises at Peterson Park flooding.
A club spokesperson said on Twitter: "Flash Flood at Peterson. U11 coaches and volunteers were to the rescue. Thank heavens for our pitch sponger too. Still managed to get their game on too. BSC Super Heroes!!!"
A heatwave has been sweeping through the country as record high temperatures and humidity levels soar across the country.
However, forecasters warned that heavy rain and thunderstorms will arrive during the weekend in parts of Scotland, as the dry heat triggers some adverse weather.
