Rivers are on the rise and roads are cut as heavy rain hits the West Kimberley district in Western Australia.
Authorities have warned people to act now and prepare to evacuate, with minor flooding expecting over coming days, including around the town of Derby.
"Water will be fast flowing and levels will rise quickly," the Department of Fire and Emergency Services warned on Saturday.
People should be ready to evacuate if necessary, relocate equipment and livestock, and watch for flash flooding at creek crossings.
The Bureau of Meteorology said a low pressure trough was bringing showers and thunderstorms to the West Kimberley district, with 30 to 60mm recorded in the 24 hours to 9am on Saturday.
Up to 80mm a day could fall for the next two days in inland areas.
"Heavy rainfall is resulting in significant river rises, and areas of flooding which are adversely affecting road conditions. Some roads have become impassable and some communities may be isolated," the bureau warned on Saturday.
