Flooding in Nottinghamshire: Hour-by-hour forecast as more heavy rain expected to fall

More heavy rain is set to hit the county later today according to forecasters.

Towns and villages across Nottinghamshire have been suffering due to the aftermath of Storm Dennis.

A yellow warning for wind and rain was issued last weekend with persistent heavy rain and wind.

26 flood warnings still remain in place for across Nottinghamshire today- and now the Met Office has even more bad news.

Rain will continue to cover the country throughout most of the week according to Met Office experts.

Residents in borough areas of Newark and Sherwood have been asked "to make necessary arrangements" as water levels continue to rise.

Heavy rain is forecast later this afternoon from 3pm onwards. Temperatures are expected to also remain low with highs of 8C and lows of 3C.
