The Met Office has issued amber and yellow warnings for the North West with risks of flooding in Cumbria.
Parts of the North of England are expecting to be hit by heavy rain and strong winds, which could cause widespread disruption.
This includes Cumbria, where up to 250mm of rainfall is likely to accumulate over the next couple of days.

In posts shared on social media, the water level at the point where the River Cocker and River Derwent meet appears to have risen.
A weather warning is in place from midnight on Thursday (28 October) to 23.59pm on Friday for parts of Lancashire and Yorkshire, with the M62 between Manchester and Leeds falling within the catchment area.
The Met Office said that rain will edge south-eastwards during today, possibly easing across Cumbria later.
Winds will become lighter by the afternoon, staying mild with a maximum temperature 15 °C.
Tonight will see persistent rain across the region, with a slight wind with temperatures of 7 degrees.
Tomorrow (Friday) will see heavy rain during the morning, but brightening up around lunchtime.
Temperatures will start off slightly warmer at 13 degrees but gradually get colder throughout the day.
By tomorrow evening, the rain is likely to have eased off.
Looking at Saturday's forecast, there is likely to be scattered showers, heavy in places, with a chance of strong winds and is likely to feel colder.
