Flooding is set to hit Ayrshire at the end of this week, Met Office forecasters have warned.
More than an inch of rain could fall on Friday, say weather experts, with "persistent and heavy" downpours causing disruption across the south of Scotland.
Forecasters say more than two inches could fall on higher ground as the worst of the weather passes through.
They have put a yellow warning in place for Friday between 6am and 9pm.
The Met Office says flooding and travel disruption is likely in some areas and "flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely".
Their warning is in place across the whole of Ayrshire.
The report states: "Rain will become persistent and heavy at times from early on Friday morning, continuing through the day before easing in the evening.
"20-40mm is likely quite widely, with 50-60mm possible over some hilly areas."
