Sally Baker, The Times' Feedback editor is groaning under the weight of reader responses to the paper's revamped Saturday edition. So much so that she jokes that she has asked the editor to allow her a month's leave before the next haul. "Alternatively, he could just shoot me first," she told readers over the weekend. Can't be that bad, can it, Sally? Well, she has ploughed through 700 emails, while the editor's office has fielded 350 and 200 have been sent online. At the time of writing the postal responses hadn't whumped onto her doormat yet. There were complaints especially about the new Playlist section, but at least some people were happy with the paper's new Saturday broadsheet review section, with particular thanks coming from "flower arrangers" and "people trying to draw their fires". Who says newspapers have had their day?
