Floating flower display illuminates Canary Wharf for Diwali

Canary Wharf’s Jubilee Park has been lit up with a glowing floral display to mark Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights.

Multicoloured flowers illuminate the water, with the radiant lotus designs using inspiration from the Rangoli patterns and light Divas of traditional Indian decorations.

The widely celebrated festival honours Lakshmi, goddess of wealth and prosperity, and the triumph of light over dark - representing good over evil. It is commemorated all over the world and known for beautiful light displays and fireworks used to celebrate.

The free attractions hails the five-day celebration of the Hindu festival - the main day falling on November 5th.

Visitors are encouraged to see the lights in the evening to appreciate the shimmering display, with the lights on from 5-11pm.

The installation created by South African florist Richard Bragg will remain lit until this Sunday, November 7.
