Viewers of the Eurovision Song Contest and music fans the world over got a shock on Thursday when rapper Flo Rida graced the stage at the annual event.
The American star, who has topped the charts with hits like Right Round and Good Feeling in the UK and as a guest rapper on Alexandra Burke's Bad Boys, has made the surprising career move of giving San Marino a helping hand at Eurovision.
The small country are being represented this year by singer Senhit with her well tipped entry Adrenalina and, after some doubts over Flo Rida making it over to Rotterdam from the States, he took to the stage for Thursday night's semi-final.
As expected, San Marino advanced through to Saturday's Eurovision final and Flo Rida looked delighted at the result, filming celebrations from the green room on his phone as the country's name was called.
But many people watching at home couldn't quite grasp the fact that the Low and Whistle rapper was even there!
One rushed to Twitter to react: "Flo rida at Eurovision I've seen it all," and, echoing those sentiments, a second posted: "I CAN'T BELIEVE FLO RIDA WAS ON THE EUROVISION STAGE OMG"
A third tweeted: "How am I only just learning Flo Rida has a verse on the Eurovision entry for San Marino, of all places," and another commented: "I can’t get over how much Flo Rida seems to be enjoying this #Eurovision Experience"
Flo Rida has proven to be a good omen for San Marino as, after making it through to the final, they have been drawn in 26th position in the running order, meaning they will be the last act to perform on the night.
The draw has seen their odds of winning given a boost, with France, Italy, Switzerland and Malta also well fancied.
