Flight warning: If you wear this item of clothing you could risk getting kicked off a flight

There is a little list of rules and restrictions at an airport before you even board the flight.

Most of them are common knowledge, like the liquid allowances for carry-on luggage and taking of your jacket before the security checks.

However, one airline gate agent has revealed a lesser-known rule that some passengers might not know.

The agent posted a list of dos and don'ts on a Reddit thread, the Express reports.

The gate agent wrote: “Don't wear shirts with obscene words.

“We can't board you to the aeroplane with a shirt that says a bad word.

“You will probably have to change it as it might offend another passenger.”

There are plenty of passengers who wouldn't dream of wearing an explicit tee on a flight, while some people might find it funny and may not see it as being offensive in inappropriate.

Several incidents of people getting kicked off flights due to obscene slogan tees have been reported in the media.

In 2017, Birmingham Live reported that a group of 18 women on a hen do got thrown off a Jet2 flight to Magaluf for wearing T-shirts with the slogan 'b*****s on tour'.

At the time of the incident, a Jet2.com spokesman said: "The group were asked to either wear different attire or cover up the offensive language, and were reminded of this on numerous occasions, including by the airport police whilst in the departures area.

"Once in the cabin, and in the presence of families and young children, several members of the group decided to ignore these repeated warnings, at which point our crew took the decision to remove them from the flight."
