Flight log

The myth that Heathrow is the world's busiest airport is aired by Keith Harper (Runway fault halts flights, July 15). It is fourth, with 60.6m passengers per year, behind Atlanta (73.4m), Chicago O'Hare (72.3m) and Los Angeles International (61.2m). It is also sometimes described as the world's busiest 'international' airport, but while a London-Dublin hop would be added to its total, a long-haul from LAX to JFK would not count.
