People hoping to travel abroad from Ireland during Storm Barra are urged to contact their airlines to check if their flights are still going ahead.
The storm is causing travel disruption across the country with public transport services affected and flooding and debris blocking many roads nationwide.
Gale force winds are affecting services from Irish airports too, with numerous flights either cancelled, delayed or diverted.
A Delta Airlines flight travelling from JFK in New York was due to land at Dublin Airport on Tuesday morning.
However, after failing twice to land during the high winds, the plane was instead diverted to Amsterdam Schipol Airport.

Additionally, a Ryanair flight due to arrive in Cork Airport from London Stansted at 8.40am had to divert to Shannon because of the high winds.
Another Ryanair flight arriving from Birmingham was also diverted after it failed to land as scheduled at 9.05am.
Aer Lingus had already cancelled all flights out of Cork Airport for Tuesday, with the county under a Status Red wind warning until 9pm.
KLM subsequently cancelled a flight from Amsterdam, which had been due to arrive at 10.30am, while a return flight at 1.05pm is also cancelled.
In Dublin Airport, some flights have been delayed but the majority have safely landed on time.
Departures to Newark, Paris and Munich were cancelled but all other flights on Tuesday morning departed either on time or with short delays.
The county is under a Status Orange alert, with conditions set to deteriorate later in the day.
Kevin Cullinane, Group Head of Communications at the Dublin Airport Authority, said winds were gusting at speeds of up to 50 Notts throughout the morning, which has made it challenging for aircraft to land.
"The best advice we would give to passengers is to check in with their airline in advance of travel because those winds are continuing to gust on the eastern coast and may prove challenging for aircraft trying to land and subsequent departures from Dublin could be impacted also," he told RTE's Today with Claire Byrne programme.
"Safety is the number one priority for everyone and wind direction can change and these winds have been gusting between 45 and 57 Notts at times.
"It is a very fluid situation today, all the early departures departed on scheduled but good practice for the rest of the day is to check with the airlines' websites."
