Flight heading to New York diverted to Shannon Airport after 'medical emergency'

A flight heading to New York has declared a medical emergency and is currently diverting to Shannon Airport.

The incident happened just in the last few moments when the crew reported the emergency on board.

The Air France Flight AF32, which was originally heading to John F Kennedy airport, is currently flying near the south coast of Ireland.

The Boeing 777-228 is expected to arrive at the Clare airport shortly.
