A flight from Edinburgh declared a mid-air emergency today on its way to Heathrow.
British Airways confirmed that the BA1449 2pm flight experienced a technical issue and requested priority landing on its approach to London.
Despite the issues, the flight managed to land just behind schedule at 3.35pm.
A spokesperson for the aircraft confirmed that the fight had landed safely and no passengers were harmed.
In a statement, British Airways said: “The safety of our customers and crew is always our top priority. Our aircraft requested a priority landing as a precaution after experiencing a technical issue
“The flight landed safely and customers left the aircraft in the normal way.”
