Flight diverted after passenger attempts to breach cockpit, LA to Nashville trip stopped in Albuquerque

A Delta flight from Los Angeles to Nashville, Tennessee, made a surprise landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Friday afternoon after a passenger attempted to bust into the cockpit.

Delta Flight 386 landed at Albuquerque Sunport at 2:13 p.m. local time, according to flight tracking data. It is scheduled to take off again at 8:15 p.m. to complete the trip to Nashville.

The unidentified unruly passenger did not manage to breach the cockpit, local ABC affiliate KOAT reported. No one was injured.

The person was removed from the plane and arrested by airport police, according to KOAT. All other passengers will continue to Nashville.

The FBI is investigating the incident.
