While hotel beds are famously comfy with plush pillows and crisp bedding, you may find that your sleep is interrupted as light creeps through the curtains at sunrise. Thankfully, an avid traveller has shared a 'game-changing' life hack to cure the problem and it won't cost you a penny.
Flight attendant Demi Bonita advised people on how they can make their hotel rooms - or anything rooms for that matter - 'completely dark' for the optimal peaceful night sleep. Demi - who boasts more than 59,000 followers on TikTok account @demibonita - shared a clip demonstrating the hack to the popular video-streaming service.
Since posting, the air hostess' video has surpassed a whopping 2.6 million views to date.
Sharing her insightful knowledge of being a frequent traveller, Demi advised people on how to obtain maximum darkness using an item commonly found in the wardrobe of hotel rooms.
Demonstrating the hack first-hand, the TikTok user used a clothing hook to clasp two parts of the curtain to make sure they were fully shut.
She explained: "If you want your room completely dark in the morning without light coming through the curtain...
"Use a clothing hook," she advised.
In the video, Demi listed her top 'five' essential hacks while flying, including what to do if you've forgotten your charger.
She explained: "Put the 'do not disturb' sign between the door so you can notice if someone has been in your room.
"Your hotel card is not the only card that works. You can use any other card.
She went on: "Are you in the UK and forgot your worldcharger? The Europe one doesn't fit... There is always one in the bathroom!
"Dry wash your uniform/clothes to get it fresh," she added.
