Flight attendant's clever trick to silence crying baby in seconds leaves parents in awe

Taking a child on their first holiday is very exciting and memories of time by the pool and building sand castles last forever.

But before you get to dip their little toes in the sea there's something much more stressful to get through - the flight.

While some kids don't seem fussed by getting on a plane, it's a real struggle for others and parents can spend hours desperately trying to settle them while attempting to ignore the annoyed faces of other passengers.

There are lots of tips and tricks out there, all with different success rates - but one flight attendant seems to have cracked it.

During a flight from Orlando to Pittsburgh on Southwest Airlines passenger Carrie Jaboor saw a mum trying to get her one-year-old daughter to stop crying.

Man's question about common showering habit sparks row - and people are disgusted

She told Scary Mommy: "The mother looked so stressed and it just made my heart break for her because nothing was helping the little girl.

"When I saw the flight attendant ask her to step to the back, I could tell the mother (and myself) thought she was going to get in trouble."

But when she turned she saw the crew actually had a very clever trick up their sleeves.

Carrie wrote: "I looked back and saw him blowing bubbles for the little girl until she stopped crying.

"There are some seriously kind people in this world."

The crew also gave a tissue to the mum, as she was upset by the whole incident.
