Flight attendant reveals grim reason why you should avoid plane toilet paper

A flight attendant has revealed to passengers just how filthy the plane's toiler paper is - and why you may be better off bringing your own.

The cabin crew member explained that if passengers are in desperate need of paper in an airplane toilet, it may be cleaner to use the hand tissues at the sink.

The attendant, who posts on TikTok under the username @flightbae.b, shares travel tips and hacks to help travel lovers.

They explained in a video, which has been viewed over 80,000 times, that you should always avoid airplane toilet paper, the Express reports.

In the video, the experienced flight attendant said: “Use the tissue paper as opposed to the toilet paper.

“When turbulence hits and little boys who are pointing and shooting, they kind of shoot everywhere.

“That usually ends up on the toilet paper so if you don’t want that kind of stuff in your nether regions, use the tissue paper.”

They said the tissue paper for drying hands is usually placed a lot higher up and will have been missed by any spray.

They said: “It’s cleaner, so just use that instead of the toilet paper.”

Toilet paper on a plane can also be pretty poor quality so passengers might want to bring a tissue with them when they visit the loo.

Passengers aren’t supposed to go to the toilet during turbulence but it could sometimes hit without warning.

Normally the cabin crew will put the seatbelt signs on when turbulence hits and passengers aren’t supposed to leave their seats.

If the plane toilet paper is noticeably dirty, passengers could also ask the crew to provide a fresh roll.

One commenter to the flight attendant's TikTok said "I'm never flying again thanks sis"

Another says: "I don’t eat and drink before I fly because I REFUSE to use an airplane bathroom."

A third joked: "I could’ve gone my whole life without knowing this lol."

Would you bring your own toilet paper onto a flight? Let us know in the comments.
