Fleur East has sung out in support of our Save A Kid’s Christmas campaign.
The pop singer, 33, is joining with the Sunday Mirror, Sunday People and Save the Children to help ensure no child in the UK wants for food or fun this festive season.
And thanks to your generosity, £43,000 has been raised in just two weeks.
X Factor star Fleur, who has visited Save the Children projects in Kenya, said: “I was fortunate my parents could put food on the table.
"Being aware so many families are struggling to do the same right now is tough.
“The appeal will go some way towards helping these kids and their families have a warm and safe Christmas and a more hopeful future.”
Singer Leona Lewis, 35, and comedian Dom Joly, 53, have joined Fleur in pledging their support for the campaign, which will help some of the UK’s poorest families with vouchers for food and items such as toys and educational materials.
Bleeding Love hitmaker Leona said this year has been “unbelievably tough” and pushed more families into poverty.
At the launch of our campaign, we revealed the number of children living in poverty is set to rise to 5.2million by 2022.
Leona said: “That’s why I’m proud to be backing Save the Children’s appeal, which will help support the UK’s most hard-up families and their kids this Christmas.”
Trigger Happy TV star Dom, who has been a Save the Children ambassador for seven years and seen the charity’s work in Jordan and Ukraine, said: “This year Save the Children’s work in the UK has become more important than ever with so many pushed into poverty.
"That’s why I’m backing the Christmas appeal and urge everyone to do what they can.”

"Even before the pandemic, too many children were living in poverty and the crisis has left many parents unable to put food on the table and struggling to afford gifts.
