Fletcher Cox says he can still play at a high level; Hasn’t made any decision on playing future

The Eagles are cleaning out lockers on Wednesday after Monday night’s 32-9 loss to the Buccaneers that finished a historic collapse.

Philadelphia went 1-6 in their final seven games, including the playoffs, and the embarrassing loss has raised questions about head coach Nick Sirianni and his entire staff.

While meeting with the media following his sit down with coaches, Cox was asked about his future, and the future Hall of Famer stated that “he’s made no decision” on his playing future while stating that he can “still play at a high level.”

Cox paid tribute to the Eagles’ big three with a Wednesday Instagram post, with some fans pondering whether he might retire along with Jason Kelce.

The 33-year-old Cox has been with the Eagles since being the 12th overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft, and he was still productive in 2023, logging five sacks and a forced fumble in 15 games this season. He had seven sacks and played in all 17 games a year ago.

Cox made the Pro Bowl every season from 2015 to 2020 and returned to Philadelphia last offseason on a 1-year, $10 million deal.
