Flesh-eating zombies hunt human prey through an abandoned mine in 'petrifying' Halloween event

A terrifying scare-fest which sees horror fans chased through the Welsh mountains by zombies and demons is set to return for Halloween 2019.

Dubbed one of the UK's scariest Hallowen events, Terror Mountain, is a series of "petrifying" immersive experiences staged under the cloak of darkness that promises to be the "stuff of nightmares".

Returning for a fifth year along with a brand new scare attraction, organisers promise a Halloween event that will deliver a night of terror, thrills, and laughter.

Against the eerie backdrop of the deserted mountain range, guests are chased through the night by flesh-eating demons, then tortured in the pits of Hell and plagued by evil spirits as they break free from the land of the undead.

For 2019, the event has its biggest ever line-up featuring five "terrifyingly convincing" frightening attractions, including the brand-new experience, The Watchers.

Organisers say this dystopian setting will make even the "most hardened thrill seeker sweat", as you are placed in a live action horror-escape experience, where you not only have to survive, but also have to figure out a set of clues along the way to win your escape.

Scare experiences including: Relic, Summoning, Retribution and The Unknown will all return for this year's event.

If you think you're brave enough to take it on, this is what's in store for victims brave enough to venture to Terror Mountain this Halloween:

New for 2019: The Watchers

THE WATCHERS - New attraction at Terror Mountain 2019

You live your world through a screen, pouring your thoughts and feelings into the internet and disengaging from meaningful contact with the reality in front of you.

Little do you know the Watchers are harvesting all your data, ready to seal your fate on the dark web.

And when they come for you, there will be little chance of escape.

You'll be locked into one of the Watchers trap rooms where you've got to use your skills to try and break out and evade the Watchers.

The Unknown

Will you brave the horrors that await at Terror Mountain? (Terror Mountain)

Strange happenings have been reported to authorities for months now, and the situation has now reached media attention. The secretive organisation U.T.U.R (Unknown Threat Response Unit) have been dispatched to the site, and they request civilians to join the investigation to discover the truth.

Strange lights, odd noises, phone interference, missing persons have all been reported- just make sure you're not next on the list.

If you're afraid of the dark, this one is not for you.  Venture deep into the Silver Mountain Woods and keep your eyes out for anything strange.

Summoning

Annual fright fest Terror Mountain Aberystwyth is back and scarier than ever (Terror Mountain)

If you want to make contact with the spirit world, you might have been led to believe that trying to contact the other side with a Ouija board is a great idea.

But anyone who has ever seen a dodgy horror film should know it's never a good idea to beckon the undead.

But, if you insist on dabbling with dark forces you don't understand, don't be surprised if you end up crossing paths with 'her'.

Who is she? You really don't want to know.

Retribution

Descend into Hell at Terror Mountain (Terror Mountain)

Now is the time to repent your sins as you descend into the depths of the great inferno and come face to face with some of our most nightmarish creatures known to this world.

Everyone thinks they are a good person and an un-tainted soul. But the creature in the pits of Hell can smell your sins. They feed on your impurities and relish in your unkind actions.

With little hope of salvation, will you survive facing the demons of the underworld?

Enter the inferno and come face to face with dark, endless tunnels of torture and demons with scares around every corner you'll be begging to return to the mortal world.

Relic

Marvel at the Ponterwyd Museum of Curiosities acquisitions, where you've been invited for the opening night's unveiling ceremony. Enjoy a variety of other oddities and gawp at the exciting collection.

The centrepiece for this showcase is an ancient Relic, which dates back 100’s of years. However, don’t touch the artefacts, as the curator is very protective.
