Fleetwood Town missing key midfielder as Bolton Wanderers approach outlined for Highbury clash

Stephen Crainey says Fleetwood Town will 'really attack' this evening's clash against Bolton Wanderers as they attempt to get their big loss over the weekend against Accrington Stanley out of their system.

Wanderers sit 14th in the third tier of English football heading into this evening's clash at Highbury.

They face a Fleetwood side currently without a permanent boss with Crainey in charge following the departure of Simon Grayson from the Fylde Coast side.

Fleetwood sit 22nd in the table heading into encounter, where the Cod Army will be without the services of the suspended Dan Batty after he was sent off in the 5-1 loss against Accrington Stanley.

And Crainey is hoping to see a response from his players when they take on Ian Evatt's side this evening.

The Cod Army interim boss told the Fleetwood Weekly News : “The more bodies the better but the reality is that is the squad we are working with at the moment.

“We all need to work together and look forward to that game on Tuesday against Bolton.

“The young players have got a bit of freedom. They’ll play with freedom but we just need to keep grafting and keep up the team ethic.

“The work ethic that they have shown since I have taken interim charge has been really positive. I know we lost 5-1 at the weekend but all I can say is positive things about the group.

“It’s disappointing to lose 5-1. I don’t think it was a 5-1, but the reality is it finished 5-1.

“We need to dust ourselves down and really attack the Bolton game."
