A motorist has been arrested following a police chase from the M61 in Lancashire into Greater Manchester.
The incident happened last night when the driver of a Citreon C2 refused to stop for officers on the motorway.
Police then pursed the vehicle, following the car from the M61 in Lancashire onto the M60, where the driver attempted to come off at the exit for Bury.
Lancashire Constabulary put the chase to a halt by using a stinger - a strip of spikes which is laid across the road to puncture tyres as they pass - which stopped the car as it left the M60 slip way, at which point the driver was arrested.
After being drug tested, police say the person behind the wheel was positive for cannabis and cocaine and was then disqualified from driving.
In a tweet, an officer from Lancashire's road policing unit, said: "This car failed to stop for Team 4 Tac Ops patrols on M61 and was pursued into Manchester with assistance of GMP's traffic unit and the North West Police Air Service.
"Lancashire patrols successfully stung it as it left M60 and driver arrested, positive cannabis/cocaine and disqualified."
Officers also released an image of the captured vehicle.
