A man has been charge after a getaway car struck two police officers in Adelaide.

Officers went to a home in Davoren Park on Thursday morning as part of an investigation.

The Ford Festiva took off from the property, hitting the male and female officers while they stood in the driveway.

Both suffered leg injuries and were taken to Calvary Hospital.

A third officer jumped out the way of the car.

Police searched the area and found the car abandoned in Munno Para West a short time later.

The suspect is believed to have driven off again in a red Mitsubishi sedan, which was tracked to Waterloo Corner.

Police dog Cooper and STAR Group officers arrested the suspect nearby without incident.

A 28-year-old Davoren Park man was later charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and three counts of endangering life.

He is expected to be refused bail and will face Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Friday.
