A Fishponds nursery has been forced to close following a 'coronavirus outbreak'.
Bosses at Fledglings Day Nursery made the decision to shut after six cases were confirmed.
Leaders said they had been working with both the council and Public Health England throughout the 'extremely difficult' period.
The site will remain closed until Wednesday, October 28.
A message on its website says: "Fledglings Day Nursery has closed on a temporary basis due to an outbreak of Covid-19.
"We have been working with Public Health England and Bristol City Council to help us manage an extremely difficult and challenging situation.
"We have a provisional re-opening date of Wednesday 28th October 2020."
Bristol City Council revealed this evening (Friday) that 18 schools and nurseries had 47 Covid cases this week, forcing more than a 1,000 pupils to stay at home.
What to do if your child has coronavirus symptoms
If your child has a persistent cough, high temperature or loss of smell or taste:
- get a test to check if your child has coronavirus
- keep your child at home for 10 days, or until they get a negative test result, and don't have visitors
- contact your child's school each day to tell them how your child is doing
