Fleabag in the West End: Cheap ticket lottery announced, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge's performance to broadcast in cinemas

If you didn’t get tickets for Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s final performances of Fleabag in the West End, fear not: the show will be broadcast live in cinemas.

As well as an NT Live broadcast on September 12, the production has also announced two new ticket initiatives to get more people into Wyndham’s Theatre to see the show.

There will be an online lottery for every performance, with 50 tickets at £15 randomly allocated to those who enter.

In addition, a limited number of standing tickets, sold at £10, will be available on the day of each performance at the theatre’s box office. (Don’t fret about sore feet - the show only lasts 65 minutes.)

Fleabag was first performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2013, and Waller-Bridge has performed it several times at Soho Theatre. Following the success of the TV adaptation, she performed it on Broadway; the West End run will be the final time she performs the one-woman show.

Tickets quickly sold out for the limited run at Wyndham’s, which takes place until September 14.

This week the second series of Fleabag received 11 Emmy nominations, including a best actress nomination for Waller-Bridge; there were also 9 nominations for her comedy spy thriller Killing Eve.
