Flats destroyed and residents evacuated as major fire rips through Paisley's west end

Fire has ripped through tenement flats in Paisley's Well Street.

People have been evacuated from their homes and the road closed after the fire gutted the building above the Craigielea Bar.

The fire started at about 2am this morning and quickly took hold, with flames leaping into the air.

It is believed no-one was injured.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
