Look around this striking flat located inside Edinburgh historic Seafield Baths

Throughout the 19th century people from across Edinburgh flocked to the city's Seafield Baths to make use the facilities there – with many believing the seawater used could help cure illness and injury.

The building, located on Seafield Place, dates back to 1813, with Historic Environment Scotland describing it as being "significant as an early surviving baths complex".

In fact, it is now Edinburgh's only surviving building which housed seawater baths.

It was designed in a "distinctive classical style" and still stands prominently on the corner of Seafield Road for all to see today.

Eventually the baths reduced in size, and people stopped using them, before in the early 1900s the building was converted into flats –and now you can live in one of them.

A striking two bedroom property located on the first floor has gone on the market at offers over £250,000.

Your Move say that the "rarely available" property, not far from Leith Links, comes with an abundance of space and plenty of traditional features.

Inside is a large hallway, a dining and kitchen room, bright living room, modern bathroom (ironically without a bath) and two double bedrooms.

Those marketing the property say: "This rarely available purchase is offered in stunning condition with beautiful traditional features throughout. Extremely spacious layout offering versatile living in a highly sought-after location."

So if you're looking for your own little, or rather large, piece of Edinburgh history this property could be your dream home.
