Flat fire which saw four children at risk believed to be accidental

Avon Fire and Rescue were called to a flat fire during the early hours of this morning at 01:52am on Lamb Street in St Paul's.

Crews from Temple Fire Station and Southmead Fire Station were called to the flat fire.

Avon Fire and Rescue issued this statement following the fire: "At 01:52hrs crews from Temple, Bedminster, Southmead and Kingswood were called to a second floor flat fire on Lamb Road, St Paul's Bristol."

"Crews used 2 x breathing apparatus, 1x high pressure hose reel, 1 x 45ml covering jet and a PPV fan.

"Police and ambulance in attendance. Two adults and four children were checked on scene by the ambulance service and were discharged on scene.

"The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental."
