A flat is currently cordoned off by police after a man was found with serious injuries inside.
Merseyside Police were called to the scene of Bedford Road at 3.30pm on Friday, September 24 to reports of an injured man.
Once officers arrived they found a man in a flat on the road who had injuries to his head, face and back.

The man was rushed to hospital for treatment for his injuries.
It is not yet known how the man came by his injuries but an investigation is now underway.
A cordon was put in place around one house on the road and a forensics team is at the scene.
Pictures from the scene show forensic officers making their way inside the house and a cordon across the door.
A number of police vehicles and an officer guarding the cordon can also be seen.
An investigation is underway and house-to-house, CCTV and forensic enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
