Flashbulb! The best parties in London from the last week

Elle Fanning and Angelina Jolie attend the European Premiere of "Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil" (Picture: Dave Benett/WireImage)

Blooming brilliant, Notting Hill

Whitney Hawkings, founder of Flowerbx, hosted a dinner with Magnus Rausing at Casa Cruz to celebrate Francisco Costa’s beauty brand, Costa Brazil. And we can’t decide what was better: the Chilean menu (hello, caramelised sweet potatoes) or the fabulous blooms.

Jolie good show, Waterloo

The European premiere of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil was bound to attract an A-list crowd: stars of the film Elle Fanning and Chiwetel Ejiofor turned out for the crowds, but the real draw was Angelina Jolie (Maleficent herself) who rocked up in bespoke Ralph & Russo with four of her children in tow.

Sister act, Notting Hill

Brigitta Spinocchia Freund and Sarah Harris created a stylish dinner for sisters-in-law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard, founders of fashion brand, Veronica Beard (keeping up?). Catering was by Gold and leopard was a serious theme, with Alice Naylor-Leyland creating a roar-somely good tablescape.

Special edition, Fitzrovia

Arizona Muse and Sara Arnold took their seats at the London Edition for a panel discussion on fashion and sustainability. Hosted by Emily Sheffield’s recently launched news platform #ThisMuchIKnow, and sponsored by Riley Studio, panellists included Riley Studio CEO Olivia Dowie. A lively debate worked up an appetite for dinner at Berners Tavern, where Bay Garnett and Henry Holland tucked into beef tartare.
