The NFL is going all out with its campaign to honor the league’s 100th season.
And the Washington Redskins are part of the celebration along the way to the season’s kickoff thanks to Robert Griffin III.
In the video posted by the league above, Griffin houses a 76-yard run against the Minnesota Vikings at one of the most memorable moments of his Redskins career.
That was Griffin’s rookie year in an October home game, an eventual 38-26 win. Griffin was coming off a concussion and threw for 182 yards and a touchdown, adding another 138 yards and two touchdowns on the ground on just 13 touches.
Of course, things eventually went sour between Griffin and the Redskins, making for one of the most notable “what if?” stories of the past decade and more.
Even so, it sure never hurts to look back and appreciate what Griffin was capable of doing while he was the starter in Washington.
