THIS time last year there was a buzz in the air as fans flocked to the Newcastle 500.
The Newcastle and Gold Coast legs of the Supercars series were dropped from the shortened 2020 season, with racing shutting down because of coronavirus.
While there are hopes the race will return next year one spokesperson for the event described it as a "50-50" chance.
