Flash car seized after suspected disqualified drug driver stopped by police

Police swooped to arrest a man on suspicion of driving while disqualified and under the influence of drugs.

His flash Volkswagen Scirocco was seized on Thursday evening.

Greater Manchester Police's city centre division revealed the seizure on Twitter.

The man is in custody for questioning, the force said.

The man's age hasn't been revealed.

The driver was also held on suspicion of possessing drugs and having no insurance.

A photo of the high-powered hatchback was also tweeted out.

The car was stopped and ultimately seized close to Piccadilly Gardens.

GMP City Centre posted on Twitter: "Car Seized / Driver Arrested - Male arrested on suspicion of Drug Driving, Disqualified Driving, No Insurance & Possession of Drugs.

"Male's car has been seized from Piccadilly Gardens, whilst he remains in custody for questioning. Sgt K
