Flash Audi seized by police just TWO days after delivery - as driver caught without licence

This flashy new car has been seized by officers in Bolton just two days on from delivery after its driver was caught without a licence.

Officers stopped the Audi Q2 on Bennetts Lane, Smithills, on Thursday night (April 15).

It was the second time the motorist had been caught driving without a licence by police in just three days, and the driver will be summonsed to appear in court for a second time.

In a post on Facebook, a Greater Manchester Police Bolton West spokesperson said: "Officers from Bolton West neighbourhood team have seized this Audi Q2 after it was stopped on Bennetts Lane, Smithills in Bolton.

"It’s the second time officers have stopped this driver in three days for driving without a licence.

"The driver will now be summonsed for a second time and the vehicle has been seized.

"The vehicle was only delivered on Tuesday. Maybe the driver should have passed their test first."

Meanwhile, transport unit officers on patrol in Bolton last night also stopped a driver who had been wanted for failing to appear at Wigan Magistrates Court for an assault.

GMP says the driver of a Ford Fiesta had been 'paying particular attention to their police vehicle' before he was pulled over and arrested.
