6.30pm: The Clyde Mountain fire has been downgraded to Advice level following an earlier flare-up on the Kings Hwy.
3.18pm: Fire crews are working to extinguish fire which has spread into unburned pockets within previously burned areas near the Kings Highway.
Residents in the areas of the Kings Highway, Nelligen, Batemans Bay to North Moruya are advised there has been an increase of flare ups in unburnt pockets, well within the burnt areas.
They are asked to monitor the conditions. Motorists are asked to reduce speed and exercise caution. Visibility may be poor.
Those in the Deau River Valley, Mogendoura, West Moruya, Wamban, Kiora and Moruya areas are also asked to monitor the conditions as fire activity has increased.
The RFS says the Clyde Mountain fire is burning south of the Kings Highway through to the Deua River Valley. The fire is more than 97,800 hectares in size and is being controlled.
This fire has merged with the Badja Forest Road fire in the south.

11.31am: Emergency crews are attending a flare-up on the Kings Highway near Government Bend.
Police have been asked to manage traffic in the area and motorists are urged to take care.
Firefighters were alerted on Saturday, February 1, shortly after 11am and crews have been sent to the scene.
Rural Fire Service Inspector Kelwyn White said it was a "small flare-up" in unburned pockets of bushland and in leaf litter in previously burned areas.
She said small flare-ups were visible from the highway but there was no major cause for concern.
