A flapjack product is being recalled because it is a 'possible health risk' to some people due to incorrect allergen labelling.
Focused Nutrition, which manufactures specialist flapjack, has issued the recall for its Choc Chip Flapjacks as it contains oats (gluten) and soya, which is not clearly legible on the label and may contain milk, nuts, peanuts and sulphites.
This means the product is possibly harmful for anyone with an allergy to nuts, peanuts or soya, and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, and/or an allergy or intolerance to oats or gluten and/or a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide and/or sulphites.
If you have one of the above allergies or intolerances and have bought the product, you are advised not to eat it and instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
As well as recalling the product, Focused Nutriton has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will then inform their members.
