Flamengo vice-president Marcos Braz has commented on rumours linking manager Jorge Jesus with a potential move to Everton.
The Blues are on the hunt for a new boss after last week's sacking of Marco Silva, with Duncan Ferguson taking temporary charge of the first team for the time-being and getting off to a tremendous start with a 3-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday.
A number of names have already been linked with the Goodison Park vacancy with one of those being the Flamengo manager, who has just won the Copa Libertadores with the Brazilian side.
However, speaking to ESPN Brasil [via SportWitness], Braz has reiterated that Jorge Jesus is still under contract - although he did explain why he is glad to see rumoured links to the likes of Everton.

He said: "Jorge Jesus has a contract until May 2020. Flamengo would have a clause to fire him without any loss and he could also leave without any loss.
"In fact, in relation to his good season and Flamengo, with the goals achieved, we have peace of mind to deal with it. He is a coach until the end of May 2020.
“If true, I’m glad Everton are interested in Jorge Jesus. It’s a sign he’s a coach that Flamengo bet well on, Flamengo understood that he would be important.
"This further ensures, apart from the results of the achievements, that Flamengo was in a good way when we hired him back there. I’m glad Everton or ABCD are after Jorge Jesus. Signs that Bruno and I were right to bring him."
